Blowing the Trumpet

Many thanks to AnonymousCoworker for drawing my attention to this gem. It is the video to watch this christmas. Just keep the children away though. Have a look at the The Great Deception.

Ho ho ho.

  • i think we should be wary about videos or information like these. being catholic, i have been subjected over the years to several letters, warnings, emails of this and that being the "products" of the devil. e.g. songs of rock bands, when backmasked (played backwards),contain satanic messages. i think we should look at the bigger picture. christmas has become a tradition. and many symbols (pagan or otherwise) have been incorporated in the xmas celebration. but the bottomline is, xmas is the time for us to step back and take stock of our lives. where is it heading? where does Jesus, God, Allah, Buddha, Krishna (etc) fit in my life? how can i better myself?

for us catholics, it is the time to reflect and remember the life of Christ. it is the time to remind ourselves that we should be living how Christ lived.

and this includes not condemning other people on how they celebrate the holiday (pagan practices and all).

  • Hey, thanks for the link.

Also, I think Jehan makes some good points. Christmas shouldn't be about whose religion is better, but about what your religion (or lack thereof( means to you.

  • I totally agree. For me Christmas is about catching up with people that you haven't seen for a long time. I always grumble about returning to my hometown, but at the end of the day Christmas is about remembering what your life is about, and don't tell anyone, but I rather enjoy it.
